Lombotte\u2019s essay is followed by one by the noted German-Dutch historian of Netherlandish art Max J. Friedl\u00e4nder (1867-1958) on \u2018The Snow Scene by Pieter Breughel\u2019 and a second on \u2018Tapestry at the Exhibition of Flemish and Belgian Art\u2019 by the artist and pioneering tapestry historian W.G. Thomson (1865-1942).
