The original work comprised an introductory essay by Sachaverell Sitwell, followed by a bibliography of the subject by Buchanan and Fisher, and for this new edition the text was both revised and enlarged with the addition of an introduction and appendix on print-making techniques (both from Buchanan\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Nature into Art<\/em>), a foreword by the noted American ornithologist and bibliographer Sidney Dillon Ripley, and an updated \u2018Reference Bibliography\u2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"410\" src=\"https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2777_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2777_05.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2777_05-256x300.jpg 256w, https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2777_05-299x350.jpg 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This copy was previously in the collection&nbsp;of the explorer and bibliophile Quentin Keynes, who was a great-grandson of Charles Darwin and collected a remarkable library relating to travel and natural history.
