This was offered as lot 52 in Christie\u2019s auction of Impressionist and Modern Art, held at Christie\u2019s London on 24 June 2003, and this rare \u2018offprint\u2019 catalogue was printed in a smaller edition than the catalogue for the complete auction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/3020_02-sm.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7891\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/3020_02-sm.jpeg 350w, https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/3020_02-sm-236x300.jpeg 236w, https:\/\/www.typeandforme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/3020_02-sm-276x350.jpeg 276w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The offprint catalogue includes a preface by Jussi Pylkk\u00e4nen, an essay by Professor Ronald Pickvance, a full transcription of the letter (with English translation), and an appendix with updated English texts of two other letters by Vincent van Gogh, revised on the basis of the manuscript offered in this catalogue.
