This collection of six books illustrated by the British artist Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) is being sold on behalf of a client who inherited them from his grandfather, the original owner of the collection. The books, which have not been offered on the market for the best part of a century, contain some of Rackham’s best-known series of illustrations, including those for J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, and William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
